This week on IRISHTV...

You could say the theme of this week's programme is 'wild geese'! This week IRISHTV travels to Inishturk Island over two busy weekends for the islanders. Our crew travelled to the island to capture the magic and excitement of the unveiling of a shrine to past generations of Inishturk Island, designed and built by 16 American architecture students from The Catholic University of America recently. The crew also visited the busy island this week for the annual and most enjoyable pattern day, where old ways and traditions such as sheep shearing and ceili music were celebrated.

This week we also travel to Cleggan in Co. Galway to talk to Brian Casey - owner of Henpecked.ie - who tells us all about ducks, hens, eggs and an old tradition that is becoming Ireland’s newest hobby!

Tune in tonight at 9pm on Sky 191/Freesat 400 and online on www.irishtv.ie. We're also on Showcase +1 (channel 193) at 10pm if you miss us at 9pm!
