National Vintage Festival in Riverstown to air on IrishTV

It’s 'Lights, Camera, Action' for the 2014 All-Ireland Vintage Festival

The 2014 All-Ireland I.V.S. Vintage Festival in Riverstown, Co. Sligo will gain international TV exposure this week with a film crew from Irish TV capturing all the colour & culture from the traditional festival which celebrates days gone by. The programme entitled ‘Out and About in Ireland’ produced by Irish TV will broadcast on Sky TV channel 191, Eircom E-Vision 191, Freesat 400 and online on this Thursday, June 26 at 9.00pm. 

The special Irish TV programme will take an in depth look at the traditional crafts, vintage cars & tractors and threshers showcased at the festival. Some of the exhibits featured on the programme include vintage cars & tractors, steam engines, camera, bicycle and barbie collections, currach building, threshing, plus lots more. There will also be an array of interviews on the programme from participants, visitors and festival organisers.  

Speaking about the National Vintage Festival TV programme, John Taylor, Festival Organiser, said it was wonderful that the National Vintage festival will be showcased to a global TV audience, “We were thrilled to have the IRISH TV crew here at the festival this year. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the All-Ireland I.V.S. Vintage Festival to a huge TV audience. The festival shines a spotlight on the traditions and customs of days gone by and this year’s festival is bigger and better than ever.

Viewers can watch the special Riverstown TV programme on ‘Out & About in Ireland’ on Irish TV - Sky channel 191, Freesat 400, E-vision 191 and online on on Thursday, June 26 at 9.00pm.
