The Irish Take Over HIFA 2013

The Irish took the Harare International Festival of Arts by storm this year, how about taking on the Grahamstown Festival next!!!!!

Returning to us with more jigs than you could shake a stick at, Téada rocked the main stage with a prime slot on the Friday night.
The dancers and musicians played their way into the hearts of the thousands in attendance - there wasn’t a still foot in the house. The Harare Gardens lifted with the traditional sounds of Ireland and Seamus Begley had the crowd singing the beautiful chorus of  ‘On the Mountains of Pomeroy’.
The crowd demanded more as the lads moved off the stage and came back to indulge us with a fine encore to rapturous applause.
The HIFA Daily Update highlighted the gig as “a beautiful almost ethereal combination of traditional Irish music and dance” and “everyone was left feeling the spirit of Eire.”
